- Who created the ring: a designer, a popular brand, a goldsmith
- When was the ring created: is it a contemporary, vintage or antique piece
- For whom was the ring created: for a VIP, a politician, a sportsman or just for a “next-door-somebody”
- Is a sparkling rock mounted: diamonds increase the value significantly
- Are colored stones mounted: natural and unenhanced gemstones can provide a value boost
